Christmas

December 25, 2002

We had a little gathering around at our place, since it was our first Christmas away from home.

What a great day it was. Although there was no backyard cricket (Dan and I were joking about how every ball
would be six and out in our tiny tiny tiny balcony), there was a lot of food, a lot of beer and wine, and a lot of fun.

Jen even managed to organise some games, which
is probably due to the fact that, unlike most of us here, she’s actually a certified teacher, and likes organising.

The only stipulation was that everyone had to bring a plate of something. We did a massive shopping run at Costco the
previous week which completely filled our cupboards, and by the end of the day, we’d hardly even made a dent into the
food. Especially Tam’s tuna salad, which she’s probably still eating. Luckily, Ursula and Ray helped by taking most of the food home.

The Kris Kringle/Secret Santa tradition made an appearance. I scored some chocs and a VB from Tam, which went in
about 5 minutes!

Afterwards, a few of us went to The Hub in Machida, which is where my memory of the night becomes a little hazy.

We have more pictures up on our photos page here.
